Professional Accreditation

The Department of Accounting has been accredited as approved accountancy degree program of CPA Australia (2015) and ACCA (2016). Accounting graduates of the Department are eligible to claim exemptions and scholarship opportunities.


CPA Australia

Accounting graduates are exempted from the fundamental exams of the CPA Australia. They are eligible for Associate Membership of CPA Australia provided that they completed all required core curriculum subject. They can complete the professional level exams (6 subjects) and a practical experience component of the CPA program to become a CPA. The Department of Accounting and CPA Australia signed Memorandum of Agreement which provide our students with an accelerated pathway to start early from year 3 or year 4 (enroll up to 2 subjects of CPA Program). Moreover, both the department and CPA Australia offer scholarships covering examination fees.

ACCA

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) will grant our accounting graduates exemption from 8 fundamentals level papers. They must take the 5 non-exemptable papers in the professional level to fulfill the examination requirement for ACCA membership. ACCA also provide our students with an accelerated pathway (Accelerated Conditional Exemption Programme) into the professional qualification in the final two years of their studies, thereby accelerating their path to attaining the globally-recognised qualification. Moreover, both the department and ACCA offer scholarships covering examination fees.
